It was sooooo exciting to see so many new faces there this morning. I love seeing some the walkers come in at the same time the runners were. Hope you new gals all enjoyed the camaraderie of walking or running with someone else there to push you at every moment you wanted to stop. I know that is why I love to run or walk with other gals. Once again...another successful route. I loved it.
For those of you who are not doing Hospital Hill next Saturday morning...we need one of you to step up and plan the route. This would be a great opportunity for the new gals who came today to figure out how to use MapMyRun.com . This is the site that our group utilizes to map out our routes, print, post on this blog, and pass out on Saturday mornings. I have invited the new girls to become contributors to this blog so if you got an invite then please join us. This will allow you to post runs and make comments/suggestions here. I love that every week we rotate facilitators. It keeps the routes interesting and allows everyone to get involved. If you are new at planning a route then here are some suggestions:
-plan options for all levels from 4 miles - 13 miles
-let everyone know the if there are bathrooms to stop at
-you can do an out and back or a loop
-you can make 2 loops if you want to accommodate those who need to go further

I did it, I ran the 7.5 mile course, thanks to Renee (Speedy) and Tina. Once I reach my 10 mile goal, then my next goal will be to keep up Renee. I still don't like the hills, but I'm slowly going to kick their butts!!!
