Northland Women's walking and running club is simply a group of women encouraging one another to "keep our goals" no matter how busy life gets. We train together for 5K, 10k, 1/2 marathon, full marathon, and tri-athlon races. We are determined to stay fit, reach our goals, and maintain the wonderful friendships that bloom when women exercise together. Any woman is welcome to join and participation is always free of charge.
Please post a comment if you are planning on doing a race this fall. I know we have some people doing the KC half marathon and 5K, SF marathon, and Gobbler Grind marathon. We want to know who's doing what so we can go together if possible!

I'm running the KC half marathon with Jenny.
Becky Flook is also doing the KC half marathon.
Shelley and I are doing the Gobbler Grind...which we have heard is very flat and boring.
My name is Tara Miller and I have run with the group a few times. I am running my first 5k at the Kansas City Marathon. I am not the world's fastest runner, but I would love to have some company if anyone is interested (I am a little nervous going to my first 5k alone). I am also considering running the Pilgrim Pacer in Shawnee in November and the Jingle Bell Run in Zona Rosa.
My fall plans include the Eyes On Aids 5K, KC Marathon 5K, and the Parkville Turkey Trot.
